Dear Parent,

Thank you very much for supporting Children in Need on Friday. It was great to see so many children (and staff) dressed up as their heroes and also bringing their teddies to school. We raised £313.84 for Children in Need.

Year 6 who visited the Senedd last week were excellently behaved and they had a lovely day.

I hope that you found today’s Spice Time Credits meeting helpful if you were able to attend. This system is developing really well and is a great reward for volunteering at events such as our Christmas Fayre.

The final Families Connect meeting takes place on Thursday morning. I know that this has been an incredibly successful project  and I’d like to thank Miss Spray, Mrs Jones and parents who attended, for making the course such a success!

We hope to be able to run another one, before the school year is out.

Our KS 2 Enterprise Sale is on Thursday from 3.00-4.00pm and I hope that you will be able to join us for this. It is a great way of helping children to learn about the world of work and also to think about money.

As well as being able to buy a wide range of items from each KS 2 class, you will be able to buy tea or coffee. All of the profit that each class makes will be given back to them to spend as they wish.

Flu Vaccination Letters

Please can you return outstanding letters by tomorrow morning at the latest.

School Photos

The last day for school photo orders is tomorrow. After that, you can still order photos but you will need to go directly to Colorfoto.

Friday is an INSET day and the School and Nursery will be shut. We are joining with schools in the John Frost Cluster to provide training courses for staff on that day and staff will also be visiting other schools.

Lunchboxes and Rucksacks

Thank you for supporting the request made earlier in the year about rucksacks.

If you are new to the school, it is helpful for you to know that we no longer permit rucksacks to be brought to school because they take up so much space on the coat pegs and we haven’t got room for them.

Children should only bring their reading book bag/folder, their PE kit in a drawstring bag which can hang up and a sandwich bag/box which can stack on the trolley.

No rucksacks are permitted.

This helps all children to have space to hang their coats and PE bags up and stops them being damaged because they have fallen on the floor all the time. PE kits can be left in school and then taken home very half term to be washed and for you to check that everything still fits.

Christmas Fayre and Tombola Tuesday

Next Tuesday (28th November) is our Tombola Tuesday and children can wear casual clothes in exchange for bringing in an item such as toiletries, chocolate, tinned food or a raffle prize.

Our Christmas Fayre is on Friday 1st December. Raffle tickets are on sale every day at breaktime and cost 50p per strip.

Thank you very much to parents who have been helping by giving out letters to local businesses requesting raffle prizes.

Bonus Ball

There is another roll over this week.

Yours sincerely,
