This year’s Harvest Service was very well attended, thank you to all who came and enjoyed the class items. Another huge thank you to all who sent in items for the Harvest Display. Raven House Trust will collect the food tomorrow and will use it to support those in need.
Thank you to all parents who returned the Parental Consultation slips. Teachers are currently working together to set up appointment times. The appointment slips will come home on Wednesday. If you have not yet sent in a slip, your child’s teacher will give you an appointment in a spare slot.
Please remember that the appointments are for a 10-minute slot. Teachers need to stay as close to that time as they can, so that other parents are not waiting too long for their appointments. If you are unable to attend the appointment that you are given, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to another parent, if necessary.
For Nursery parents, there are sheets on which to choose an appointment time for Nursery Consultations on 24th and 25th October. Please check and sign up.
On Tuesday Year 1 /2 Classes are on their trip to Caerphilly Mountain View Ranch.
Miss Watkins and Mrs Parry will be running Talybont meetings for Year 6 parents this week. A letter has already come out about this. The meetings are at 3.45pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday.
It is essential that you attend a meeting if you want your child to go to Talybont. If you cannot attend one of Tuesday’s meeting, you will need to see Miss Watkins to get the relevant information.
Thursday is Photo Day. Children will be having individual photos and photos in family groups, if requested. Please complete the slip to indicate whether you would like your children to have a group photo. Babies/toddlers can be brought in at 9am to have their photos taken with older siblings. There is no obligation to buy a photo, you will be sent a sample and you can decide whether to buy.
Also on Thursday, the third Families Connect meeting will be from 9.00 – 11.00am.
On Friday, I will be holding a Parent Focus Group at 2.45pm. This is an opportunity for you to meet other parents, to make suggestions about how we can help you to support your child and to find out how you can help us. Refreshments will be available and I look forward to seeing you if you can make it.
